ANNOUNCES
“SNOWFLAKE EXPRESS TRAIN RIDE WITH SANTA”
(Petersburg, WV) – Make plans now to kick off the Christmas holiday and enjoy a chance to meet and have a picture taken with Santa as The South Side Depot in Petersburg, West Virginia, is hosting the “Snowflake Express” on Saturday, December 11. The unique holiday railroad experience, sponsored in part by Allegheny Power, is open to children of all ages.
Passengers on the "Snowflake Express Train Ride With Santa” will enjoy the Fireworks and Christmas lights at Welton Park, hear Christmas carols sung on the train by the Petersburg High School Chorus and get a chance to chat with Santa himself , Mrs. Claus and the Elves. We can't think of a better way to bring in the holiday season than to have a visit from Santa and to ride on the South Side Express Vintage Passenger Train Cars.
While waiting on the train passengers will get a chance to enjoy music by the chorus and be served cookies and hot chocolate by Santa’s Elf’s.
There will be four departure times for the Snowflake Express with Santa; 5pm, 6:30pm, 8pm and 9:30pm.
The cost for the Snowflake Express is $7 per person and reservations are requested, children two and under are free. While waiting to depart on the “Snowflake Express”, shop South Side Depot and experience an “Old Fashioned West Virginia Christmas”.
